Prepare for your first days at work
Clarify how to start, who supports you and how to raise a question or problem.
Before day one
Confirm location, hours, contact person, duties and necessary documents. Review your contract and check registration through the official channel. Keep copies of signed documents.
Learn how work is organised
Ask who explains tasks, safety procedures, working-time records and breaks. Do not use machinery or undertake risky tasks without necessary information, training and authorisation.
- Record instructions without customer data or confidential information.
- Ask for a demonstration and check your understanding.
Review your start
After a few days, prepare a short conversation about learning, remaining questions and support needs. Compare your first payslip with hours and agreed conditions; raise discrepancies with records.
