Download a document about pensions recorded in the Public Social Benefits Register or, where applicable, a certificate confirming that you are not a pensioner.

What this document certifies

The comprehensive certificate brings together information about pensions recorded in the Public Social Benefits Register. Depending on your situation, you can obtain certificates with or without amounts, or a certificate confirming that you are not a pensioner. It does not prove the absence of all income or financial support.

How to access and download it

Open the Social Security service link at the end of this guide. The comprehensive certificate page currently directs you to «Certificado de prestaciones individual» (individual benefits certificate). Select «Comenzar solicitud» (start request) and follow the service steps and identification options to obtain the document. Check that your details and the type of certificate match what you have been asked to provide.

  • Keep the file somewhere safe. On a shared computer, sign out and remove the download when you finish.
  • If you cannot obtain it or the details are incorrect, check the Social Security assistance channels.

If you need proof of unemployment benefits

If you are asked to prove whether you receive unemployment benefits or allowances, also use the SEPE status certificate. Confirm which documents the requesting organisation needs.
